Since its founding in 1989, the business has steadily built a reputation for friendly service and quality collision repair that has made it the premiere auto body shop in the East Valley. We have distinguished ourselves from the competition by operating with the utmost integrity (we will have your car completed by when we said it would be done, the work will be to the quality we said it would, and it will be done at the price we said), by our attention to detail and by our unmatched customer service.
We began in a small garage in 1989 by an eager and hard-working 19-year-old Shane and his younger brother Jason. The Orlandos were long-time residents of Mesa and attended Mesa elementary and high schools. Shane quickly showed his industrious and creativity with the work he was turning out, customizing cars and trucks that were unlike anything else any other auto body shops were doing. He not only delivered his work quickly, but he delivered it to perfection.
The Orlando’s auto body work soon got the attention of serious car enthusiasts, classic car restorers and Mesa residents involved in auto collisions. Their work has been featured in countless car magazines, including Truckin’ MagazineHot Bike Magazine, and at such car shows at World of Wheels, Good Guys Car Show, the Low Rider Custom Car Show and the prestigious SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The auto body shop has done paint prototypes for General Motors, Yamaha, Polaris, Kawasaki and have created custom cars for such celebrities as boxing great Mike Tyson, and Phoenix Suns Shawn Marion and Joe Courtney.
With the recognition, came steady growth for the Mesa auto body shop. The shop that began with two brothers in a 600-square-foot garage that completed approximately 100 cars a year has grown ten times that size. The body shop now has, at any given time, 15 full-time auto body technicians in a 6,000-square foot, state-of-the-art facility that works on more than 1,000 vehicles annually.
How we do it
Any auto body work – either with insurance or not – begins by preparing an estimate. An experience auto body technician, using the latest software, will create an accurate and thorough estimate of the cost of the work. We use the latest technology to restore your vehicle to its pre-accident condition, using Akzo Nobel Automotive Finishes, which has the most accurate color match and durability in the industry. The typical process is: insurance approval, dis-assembly, parts acquiring, structure repair, body repair, paint, re-assembly, final preparation, mechanical repairs and final inspection.
AutoWatch
The Auto body shop uses Auto Watch, which allows our customers to see the progress of their vehicle repair through the Internet and our interactive website. As your vehicle progresses through the repair process, you can see digital photographs of the work that was done and the latest vehicle repair status. You can even receive text messages and images on your smart phone about the latest work.
Independent shop vs. DRP shop
Since we are an independent auto body shop (as opposed to a Direct Repair Program shop that is funneled collision repair work by insurance companies), our focus is to restore you vehicle to its pre-accident condition. In exchange for being sent work by the insurance companies, DRP shops strive to save money to the point of being stingy. To that end, DRP shops use aftermarket and salvaged parts when they can. We have an agreement with you, not your insurance company, so we do what is best for you – which is to restore your vehicle to its pre-loss condition in safety, appearance and functionality. Our work is backed up by our Lifetime Warranty.
